Problem
When you attempt to run the Calculate Depreciation batch job or Index Fixed Assets batch job, and you encounter an error ;
The FA Journal Setup does not exist. Identification fields and values: Depreciation Book Code = 'Company',User ID="
Solution
Before a user in Business Central can run the Calculate Depreciation batch job, the user needs to be set up on the FA Journal Setup window for each Depreciation Book. For each depreciation book, you can define a default setup of templates and batches.
To set up default templates and batches for fixed asset depreciation
- Search for Depreciation Books, and then choose the related link.
- Select the depreciation book that you want to define default journals for, and then choose the FA Journal Setup action.
- If you want to have a default setup for each user, choose the User ID field to select from the Users page.
- In the other fields, select the journal template or journal batch that must be used by default.
