Job Queue Notifications

The standard Business Central Job Queue functionality does not notify the user when a particular job queue is interrupted.

After installing our add-on, a column named Notification E-Mail will be added to the Job Queue Entries page, where you can add the e-mail address of the user or users to whom the notification about the interruption will be sent.

The email address can be added by clicking on the specific job queue entry, to the General section. Note that the queue must not be running, in which case it would not be possible to edit its details. If you want the system to send notifications to multiple users, use the semicolon ; to separate their addresses.

Notifications

The subject of the email always contains the name of the job queue that failed. When you click on the message, you will also see a link to the environment in which the error occurred and additional details about the job queue entry, including the error message and the time at which the queue was interrupted.

The only prerequisite for this extension to work properly is that you must have Business Central email sending set up correctly. Set up email in Business Central (contains video) - Business Central | Microsoft Learn
